Pafos Rides ([full legal name], private hire licence no. [TODO]) is a licensed taxi operator based in Paphos, Cyprus. We are the data controller for this website. Contact: bookings@pafosrides.com, +357 96 358000.
Booking details. When you send a booking through WhatsApp, phone or the form on this site, we receive your name, phone number, pick-up/drop-off locations and travel time. We use them only to provide the transport you requested (legal basis: performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). The booking form on this site does not send anything to us directly — it opens WhatsApp on your device with a pre-filled message that you choose to send.
Anonymous visit counter. With your consent (the banner you saw), we count page visits using a self-hosted counter. It stores no cookies, no IP addresses and no personal data — only "one more visit today". You can refuse and the site works identically (legal basis: consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Weather widget. The homepage shows current Paphos weather fetched from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a service that requires no cookies or personal data. Your browser contacts their server directly to retrieve the forecast.
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores exactly three small values in your browser's local storage: your language choice, your cookie-banner answer, and nothing else. These never leave your device.
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) processes messages you send us there under its own privacy policy. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers to display this site's typefaces. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.
Booking records are kept for as long as required by Cyprus tax law (currently 6 years) and then deleted. WhatsApp conversations are deleted within 12 months of your last trip unless you book again.
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy). Email bookings@pafosrides.com and we will respond within 30 days.
